Alumni Structure

The state council consist of :

  1. State alumni executive board.
  2. Affiliate representatives, two per affiliate.
  3. Representative of the Michigan Association of Agriscience Educators (MAAE).
  4. One teacher educator in agriculture (Agriculture & Extension Education of MSU).
  5. Representative of the Michigan Horticulture Teachers Association (MHTA).
  6. The current state FFA president.
  7. The immediate past state FFA Alumni president.
  8. The immediate past state FFA president.
  9. The state advisor, state FFA executive secretary, state FFA projects consultant, all serve as ex-officio, non-voting members of the council.

Each affiliate must elect two state council representatives to serve as their voice at the state level. Each representative will be elected for a two year term and may serve no more than four years in a row. It is recommended that these terms be on a staggering basis. Non-attendance at three consecutive quarterly state council meetings will cause the state council to designate the position vacant and the affiliate will be asked for a replacement.

The council meets as a whole four times per year. All members are welcome to attend. For more information on meeting times and locations, contact your regional vice president or the administrative director of the Michigan FFA Alumni.
